BFLLFEA (Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leathergoods and Footwear Exporters’ Association) is the leading Association for Leather (established in 1985-1986) in Bangladesh. Due to the banning of wet-blue export from Bangladesh in the decade of ninety some of the Bangladeshi tanners formed BFLLFEA. At present there 207 of tanneries are associated with BLLFEA. Yearly average production of these tanneries is near about 200 million sq.ft of leather both crust and finished. The main importer countries from these tanneries are: Italy, Germany, China, Korea, Thailand and Singapore.  The Executive Committee of BFLLFEA is elected for every two years by the direct vote of the associate members of the association and the Advisory Committee is nominated by Executive Committee.

At the very beginning BFLLFEA has no registration to get the EU funded project, after introducing with SEQUA BFLLFEA got a PADOR registration to obtain EU funded project. At present (from 5th February 2009) a developing project entitled “Re-Tie Bangladesh” is jointly implemented by SEQUA and BFLLFEA.
